Breeds and Blood
Gemigons have four known breeds; runt, standard, brute, and windrunner. A gemigon's breed is completely dependent on what type of blood they are born with. Gemigons have very warm blood that has the consistency and color of lava.
Runts
Born with D1 (degree 1) blood, which is the coldest blood type. This means the crystal skeletons cannot grow as well, making the gemigon shorter. Their front legs are lower, as their front half doesn't have the means to grow to form the normal gemigon anatomy. Their gems are also much smaller and shorter.
Standard
Born with D2 blood, which is the normal blood type. They grow normally.
Brutes
Born with D3 blood, which is the hottest blood. They're much thicker than regular gemigons and their front is able to grow more. Their back legs appear even shorter because the front half of their body is so tall. Their gems are much larger and thicker.
Windrunners
Born with D3 blood, but is made up genetically different. Their bodies are very long and their gems generally point backwards. Their tail is is set much lower than the other gemigon breeds and doesn't have nearly the same range of motion. They are extremely fast and agile. This breed is the rarest and very few exist; for this reason, windrunners are highly respected.
