Internal Anatomy
Gemigons have somewhat complex organ systems, but their internal structures are not much different from your average mammal. The major difference is that they have two hearts and two stomachs. Two hearts are needed because of their large bodies and active lifestyle. The branchial heart is solely for respiration and only pumps blood in the lungs. The systemic heart pumps blood to every other part of the body. Two stomachs are needed for their unique digestive system. One stomach is reserved for digesting gems and converting them into pure energy. The other is for all other foods that they eat. Meat is digested normally, while vegetation tends to pass through them or give them some discomfort (plants can be eaten as long as they are accompanied by meat).
